No, in the Netherlands no boating license is required to operate the CarpDeluxe CarpDeluxe. The Torqeedo electric powertrain is electronically capped at safe cruising speed in accordance with inland navigation laws. The primary renter must be at least 21 years old. A thorough personal briefing and trial run are provided prior to departure.

What is included onboard and what should I bring myself?

A comprehensive luxury kit is standard onboard: 2 premium sleep mattresses, Webasto diesel heater, Raymarine Axiom Pro 3D sonar, stainless rod pods & anchor poles, unhooking mat, weigh sling, landing net, marine toilet, 2-burner stove, cookware/cutlery, USB/230V outlets, and certified life jackets. Please bring: sleeping bags/bedding, pillows, personal rods/tackle, bait, provisions, and a valid VISpas.

How long do the batteries last and how does charging work?

The vessel features a robust 10 kWh lithium bank paired with 400W marine solar panels. At standard cruising pace, it provides 8 to 12 hours of continuous sailing. For stationary living (lighting, cooler, sonar, heater, and charging), the solar system provides multiple days of off-grid autonomy. Recharging is easily done at any marina via the included shore power cable.

Can I charge 230V appliances and bait boat batteries onboard?

Yes, the onboard 2000W pure sine wave inverter delivers stable power to all 230V sockets. In addition, 12V and high-speed USB-C ports are available for smartphones, tablets, laptops, headlamps, and bait boat battery packs.

How much is the security deposit and when is it refunded?

The security deposit is €350 per booking. It is settled during checkout or prior to departure. Following the check-out handover inspection, the deposit is automatically refunded to your original payment method within 48 hours.

How does payment and the deposit schedule work?

Accepted Answer

When confirming your booking, an initial deposit of 30% is processed immediately via iDEAL, Bancontact, Credit Card, or Klarna. The remaining balance (70%) plus the security deposit must be settled at least 14 days prior to your arrival date.

Which marina departure locations are available?

Our primary home marina bases are Marina Vinkeveense Plassen and Jachthaven Biesbosch (Drimmelen). You can select your preferred pickup base during booking. We also offer a customized trailer delivery service to approved inland waters across the Netherlands.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Standard check-in is from 05:00 / 14:00 / 16:00. Check-out must take place before 20:00 / 11:00.

Do I need a VISpas fishing license and is night fishing allowed?

Yes, in the Netherlands a valid VISpas angling permit is legally required for every active fisherman. Night fishing from the CarpDeluxe boat is fully permitted on all public water bodies where night fishing is enabled according to the national VISplanner registry.

What happens during severe storms or thunderstorm warnings?

Safety is our absolute priority. In the event of an official meteorological Code Orange or Red warning (wind force 7+ or severe storms), we coordinate directly with you. You will be offered a free rebooking to any available dates within the same season.

Are dogs or other pets allowed on board?

Accepted Answer

Well-behaved dogs are welcome onboard upon prior consultation. Due to thorough deep cleaning and hygiene protocols, a one-off fee of €45 applies. Pets should remain on the covered deck or inside their own dog bed.

Can I add GPS bait boats and extra angling tackle to my booking?

Accepted Answer
